Frequently Asked Questions

How do I get feed back on my child’s day?

We believe that the outdoor play areas are a valuable learning environment for children. The children get to go outside every day, weather permitting. They wrap in warm and wear their wellies in the winter, as the children love to splash in puddles. In the summer we ask parents to apply sun cream at home. We then ask that you send in a bottle of sun cream with your child and we will reapply during the day.

It is important for children’s health and well-being to enjoy outdoor play so we plan lots of sports and activities to develop children’s gross motor skill and hand eye co-ordination.

We are open from 7.30 am to 5.30 pm. Each child will have their booking during these hours. We understand that on occasion parents/ guardians can get delayed collecting their children. If  this happens we ask for you to phone us as soon as possible to advise us that you are running late, as our staff members will need to make their own arrangements to stay on later. In order to cover the additional cost of wages an additional charge of €7.50 will occur to cover up to one hour. If you collect your child after 6 pm an additional charge of €10 will occur. This will cover the cost of one child for up to one hour.

At Absolute Angels we really care about your child having a smooth transition into our homely environment. For full time children we offer one hour free of charge on their first day. We then build it up to three hours, five  and then a full day. We find from experience this can really help children to settle in. However, some children may need a little longer and we work closely with the parents/guardians to help their child settle.

The ratios for full day care creches are set by Tusla, the Child and Family Agency. Absolute Angels adheres to these regulations. The ratio for our Baby Room (Twinkle Room) is 0 – 1 years, 3 staff to one baby. As children grow older, the ratio increases as per the regulations.

All meals are cooked on site by our own in house chef. Meals are coked using fresh ingredients. We aim to provide a variety of nutritious meals for the children in our care.

To facilitate individual preferences and requirements, parents provide all their child’s bottles. These must be made at home and cooled down, as per regulations.

Bottles must be clearly labelled with your child’s name and stored in fridges until used.
